OCA is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mike Sperlinger as Head of Programme. Sperlinger will be leading OCA’s public programme, maintaining the organisation’s position as a prominent contemporary arts institution and identifying new opportunities for development.
Office for Contemporary Art Norway has collaborated with Kyoto Art Center (Japan) and Nordic Artist’s Centre Dale (Norway) to form a three-party artist residency exchange between Japan and Norway.
Since its inception, OCA’s curator residency at ISCP has been an opportunity for Norwegian and Norway based curators to expand their networks and develop their practices in one of the global hubs of the world-wide contemporary art scene.
OCA is pleased to be a supporting partner of Coast Contemporary’s seventh edition titled ‘Ocean Eyes’, taking place in Lofuotta/Láfot/Lofoten Islands from 18th – 22nd September 2023.

Art Basel is the worlds’s leading art fair in the international art market where over 200 selected galleries from around the world presented modern and contemporary works of high quality. Simultaneously in Basel there were three other art fairs (Liste Art Fair Basel, June Art Fair and VOLTA Art Fair) museums and galleries presenting works by modern masters and emerging talents from all over the world.
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for Norwegian and Norway based curators to join two OCA funded places on Mondriaan Fund’s Orientation Trip to Central America in October this year.
Since 2009, OCA has been sponsoring an artist residency programme at WIELS Contemporary Art Centre in Brussels. In 2018, Are Blytt undertook a residency stay at WIELS where he found creative support, inspiration, and a kick-start that took his artistic practice abroad.
