C& Center of Unfinished Business
Two scheduled activations and the reading room open by appointment

Join us at the OCA Library for two activations of C& Center of Unfinished Business with Piniel Demiss on 7 and 11 November!
The C& Center of Unfinished Business is a mobile reading room that offers an expansive and at times disconcerting selection of material connected to the topic of colonialism and its afterlives. In Oslo, this iteration titled "counter_programming" asks: how can hybrid libraries defy algorithmic logics of surveillance and classification? In a world increasingly mediated through technology, the reading room sets out to decode the entanglements between digitality, coloniality, indigeneity, and Blackness. Since 2017, the reading room has traveled to institutions around the world from Cincinnati to Hong Kong, via Berlin, Vienna, Toulouse, Athens, Kassel, and New York.
This iteration features a collection of books, vinyl records, card games, and C& Cyclopedia Station: a search tool and expansive digital knowledge platform mapping new epistemologies. It is curated by the C& Magazine editor-in-chief Ethel-Ruth Tawe.
