Nora Joung is an artist, critic and editor based in Oslo, where she co-organises the artist-run gallery Destiny's and is a member of the artist persona Rose Hammer. Joung works with moving image, installation, and performance, often basing her projects on archives, or obscured moments in recent and distant history. Joung's recent projects include 'Memorial: The Right to Work' (Volt, Bergen), examining the legislation behind an unprecedented court ruling - after Norwegian factory workers sued the state in the early 1980s;'Mother in Need' (Atelier Nord, Oslo), based on medical, sociological and legal data documenting the lives and work of female practitioners of folk medicine in Norway; and 'The Radical Flu', a radio play in eight parts by the artist group Rose Hammer, aired on RadiOrakel. She is currently working in collaboration with the Guttorm Guttormsgaard archive in Blaker.
