Acknowledgement of the Sámi people

OCA acknowledges the Sámi as one people, and as the Indigenous people of the Fennoscandian region. On the land of this region, Sápmi, the Sámi people have lived since time immemorial, respectfully harvesting from nature by fishing, farming, hunting and following reindeer, amongst other activities.

Berlin Mitte

During 2004 - 2015 OCA offered four 2-months residencies per year for curators, critics and artists in the area Mitte in Berlin. The residency gave the residents an opportunity to come to Berlin to meet other artists and curators, get inspiration and focus on a project.
