Wiels Residency Programme
In 2019, OCA offers a residency programme for an artist at WIELS Contemporary Art Centre in Brussels, Belgium. The duration of the programme is six months, from 1 January until 30 June 2019. Applications are accepted from Norwegian artists and international artists residing in Norway. The programme is designed for artists who have already elaborated a specific and promising aesthetic language but seek artistic, theoretical and professional support in order to develop their practice. Please notice that the residency is not available for BA or MA students. Applications will be assessed by an International Jury appointed by OCA, together with a representative from WIELS Contemporary Art Centre. Capacete Residency Programme
In 2019, OCA offers a three-month residency at Capacete from 1 April to 30 June. Applications are accepted from Norwegian artists, curators, critics and writers, as well as international artists, curators, critics and writers based in Norway. Please notice that the residency is not available for BA or MA students. This is a residency for research and to connect with the local art scene, and therefore it is not studio based. The resident will be accommodated in a shared apartment five minutes walk from the Capacete Residency Centre. This is a vibrant meeting place with a library of books and films, and where they also organise public talks, seminars and workshops. They have a small exhibition space and the staff is fully engaged and physically present. Capacete has been part of the São Paulo Biennale four times and can also help to facilitate visits to the biennale. Click here for more information and to go to the application form.
